Bevlogen lezing van Arno van Wijk

Arno van Wijk, organist  en koordirigent gaf vandaag een bevlogen lezing over muziek in de Tweede Wereldoorlog.  Muziek was alom aanwezig en speelde een grote rol in het leven tijdens die periode.
Van Wijk vertelde over morele dilemma’s waar verschillende musici mee te kampen hadden. Sommige componisten kozen juist vol overtuiging voor het Nazi-regime, waar andere componisten zonder pardon vanwege hun afkomst werden verboden. Anderen stonden voor de keuze of financiële zekerheid of armoede vanwege het vasthouden aan principes. Ook muziek in de concentratiekampen kreeg ruim de aandacht.
We vonden het erg fijn dat Arno van Wijk zijn boeiende verhaal met ons wilde delen en willen hem en de andere aanwezigen hartelijk danken voor hun aandacht en voor hun komst.
